No Tsunami Threat To B.c. After 4.2-Magnitude Earthquake In California

Emergency officials say there is no tsunami threat to B.C. after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake in California Monday morning (Feb. 2).  Originally reported as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake the U.S. Geological Survey now lists it as 4.2. It hit about 32 kilometres southeast of San Francisco and 112 kilometres north of Monterey, Calif. at a depth of 9.4 kilometres, just after 7 a.m.  B.C. Emergency Info posted to social media at 7:18 a.m. that there was no tsunami threat to B.C.
